WebI looked at the keyboard for that and it does not appear that you have an Fn key combination that disabled the touchpad like on many other systems. Does the Synaptics application have a feature to turn off the touchpad and a USB device is plugged in like the HP 250 does? You could probably disable it in the BIOS as well.
