When the deck is up, this rod connects (somewhere - can't remember) to the deck and the other end connects to a small fitting near your seat. Safety first, safety glasses & gloves. First remove grease fitting, then remove snap rings or spring clips at caps, you can use a hammer on driveshaft to drive u-joint & caps out.
